Question: Are the bulbs dimmable?
Answer: Our G50 incandescent bulbs are dimmable.
Question: Are these plastic or glass?
Answer: Our G50 incandescent bulbs are made of glass and are breakable.
Question: Are these double or triple dipped bulbs?
Answer: All of our transparent incandescent bulbs are double Dipped
Question: What is the wattage?
Answer: Our G50 bulbs are 7 watts.
Question: What is the bulb life span?
Answer: These bulbs have a 3,000 hour lifespan.
Question: What is the voltage?
Answer: Our G50 bulbs are 130 volts, and will work in both 120v and 130v outputs.
Question: Why are they 130 volts? Isn't standard output 120 volts?
Answer: The voltage represents the amount of volts your bulbs can handle, so a 130v bulb is better than a 120v bulb! A higher voltage allows the bulb a longer life.
Question: What is the actual size of a G50 bulb?
Answer: A G50 bulb measures at 2” wide, 2 ?”Tall, 1/2” base. It is the size of a racquet ball. Click here for size comparison.
Question: What is the base material made of?
Answer: Our G50 bulbs have a nickel coated base.
Question: What is the difference between and E17 and E12 base?
Answer: A E17 base mesures at 5/8"" and the E12 base measures at 1/2""base. Click here for out size chart.
Question: Can these be used as indoor decoration?
Answer: These can be used as indoor decoration, but are typically used for outdoor lighting.
Question: What is the warranty of these bulbs
Answer: 2 seasons or 180 days if you keep them up year round.
Question: Do these bulbs get hot?
Answer: They are warm to the touch, like all traditional incandescent bulbs.
Question: Are these single replacement bulbs?
Answer: We sell our incandescent replacement bulbs in packs of 25.
Question: Are these UL Listed?
Answer: Our G50 replacement bulbs are not UL listed but comply with all UL Standards.
Question: Can these be used in a string I already own?
Answer: 90% of the time this will work. There are 2 points of contact the bulb needs to work; one on the bottom and one on the side. Most of the time our bulbs will work in other strings, so yes I would try it and if they do not work then you may need to replace the string or try a different brand bulb. You will also need to make sure the string can handle a 5 watt bulb in each socket.
Question: How many can I string together?
Answer: This particular product is just replacement bulbs. Our strings are sold separately.
Question: What stringer will fit the G50 bulb?
Answer: Our G50 bulbs come in two different base sizes. The more widely used size base is the E17 base and will fit into a C9 stringer or a heavy duty string with the E17 base socket. Click the following products for our HD Stringers and C9 stringers. We also offer the G50 bulb with the E12 base and this will fit into the C7 stringer or heavy duty string with the E12 candelabra base. (Insert link to HD stringers and C7 stringers.
Question: Does the G50 bulb with the E12 base come in any other colors?
Answer: Our G50-E12-7W bulb comes in only clear or frosted white. Click here for our G50 E12 frosted white.
Question: Can you see through these bulbs? Are they transparent?
Answer: The G50-E12 base bulbs only come in clear or frosted white. The clear bulb is see through and the frosted white is a satin bulb so it is not transparent.
